Expanding Access Through Partnership: Reaching More Than 2,600 Juniors in 2025
This year, the I AM a Golfer Foundation set out to expand our reach and introduce more young people across southern Dallas to the game of golf. Thanks to the collective support of our partners, donors, and volunteers, we’ve exceeded our goal, engaging 2,660 juniors in 2025.
Our year-end goal was to serve 2,500 young people, including 600 multi-session participants through our in-house programs and summer outreach, and 1,900 single-session participants through our fall community outreach efforts. We’re proud to share that we've surpassed expectations in every category.
For many southern Dallas youth, golf has historically felt out of reach; limited by cost, equipment, and access to facilities. This year’s growth reflects our ongoing commitment to remove those barriers. With the help of our partners, we were able to:
- Host dozens of free clinics that introduce the fundamentals of golf in a fun, welcoming environment.
- Provide equipment access so every participant can learn and play, regardless of financial circumstance.
- Engage new community partners across schools, recreation centers, and neighborhood organizations.
- Build confidence and life skills through youth engagement, teamwork, and leadership-focused instruction.
This progress wouldn’t have been possible without the continued generosity of our community of supporters: from long-time champions like the Louis L. Borick Foundation, the Jordan Spieth Family Foundation, OMNI, and KDC, to newer partners such as the Giveback Foundation, H-E-B, LIV Golf and the many individuals, corporations, and foundations who believe in our mission. Together, their investments have allowed us to expand our programs, strengthen our team, and reach more juniors than ever before.
The success of 2025 lays a strong foundation for the future. As we move into 2026, we’re focused on deepening our impact by expanding multi-session programs, enhancing player development pathways, and connecting even more young people to opportunities in golf and beyond.
